What does Khitbaah mean? Is it the same as khitbah or khatabah?
Yes. Khitbah (خطبة), also written khitbaah, khitba or khatabah, is the Islamic marriage proposal: the stage where a couple and their families get to know each other before nikah. The app is named after it, and you may see it spelled Khitbah too.
Is Khitbaah a shadi or rishta app?
Yes. Khitbaah is a shadi app for finding a rishta, whether you are looking for yourself or, through a wali-managed profile, for someone in your family. It is available in English, Urdu and Arabic.
Is Khitbaah safe for Muslimahs?
Khitbaah is designed with Muslimahs in mind. Your photos stay hidden until you approve a reveal request, you can show only your first initial, chats are end-to-end encrypted, and you can block, report or unmatch anyone instantly.
Is Khitbaah a swiping app?
No. You scroll through profiles at your own pace. There is no swiping left on anyone, and nobody is disliked.
Can Khitbaah read my messages?
No. Text messages and shared locations are end-to-end encrypted, so only you and the person you are talking to can read them. We do not keep a readable copy of your conversations.
What happens to photos I send in chat?
They are view-once. After they expire they are deleted from our servers.
Who can see my profile photos?

Can someone take a screenshot of my photos?
